I am a lawyer with qualifications in 3 jurisdictions: I am an Attorney at Law (New York), a Barrister-at-law (Middle Temple, UK) and an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. I graduated with a LL.B (Hons) from University College London’s Faculty of Laws, and a LL.M from Columbia University School of Law, where I was also conferred the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar Award.
I’ve handled many different cases over the years, including civil litigation, civil rights litigation, criminal litigation, probate, guardianship, incorporation, insurance, marine insurance, maritime and shipping law including collisions and cargo damage, multimodal transport law, documentary credit, banking, bankruptcy, real estate, intellectual property and immigration.
As a multimedia producer, filmmaker and working artist myself, however, I am particularly versed in the area of media law, including corporate structure, investment, fundraising, employment and service contracts, immigration and visa matters, entertainment law, publishing contracts, international distribution and licensing agreements, intellectual property management in multiple international jurisdictions, in particular, Chinese-speaking countries.
